Other Medications
Other drugs have been researched for treating nocturnal enuresis, including indomethacin, phenmetrazine, amphetamine, ephedrine, atropine, diazepam, furosemide, diclofenac, and chlorprothixene. In a 2012 systematic review, none of these drugs were found to be more effective than desmopressin; however, indomethacin, diclofenac, and diazepam were shown to work better than placebo.
Complementary and Alternative Therapies
Evidence supporting complementary and alternative therapies is scarce. There is little evidence to support the use of homeopathy, food restriction, hypnosis, psychotherapy, chiropractic, or acupuncture for nocturnal enuresis.
